What is INFUSION Therapy?
Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through a vein. It is prescribed when a patient’s condition is so severe that it can not be treated effectively by oral medications. Typically, infusion means that a medication is administered through an intravenous compound, but the term may also be referred to situations where drugs are provided other than an oral route such as Intramuscular Injections and epidural routes, among others.
